The concept for the Windtamer was a children’s story with a slightly alternative 'creepy' vibe. The story is based around the character of Archie who is haunted by the 'wind' and helped by the ice gulls.
The concept behind the Gulls was to give the idea of flight, but had to be something that the kids could move around easily in, the idea I developed was based around early flight/Amelia Earhart with jumpsuits and military inspired costume to give them the feeling of a group with slight differences in each to give everyone an individual character. The wind characters are all dressed in lycra catsuits with white chiffon bits that give the costume movement, like the wind and colourless creepy masks.
