Welcome to my website,
Costume is a diverse subject with many facets which is why I've tried to include a variety of categories in this website. I specialise mainly in womens wear (although I'm also able to make for men and children) from theatrical costume, bridal wear to occasion wear.
For the pages in this website I've gathered together a small selection of the work that I have produced over the years. As a trained costume maker and pattern cutter I'm able to produce a wide variety of
different styles from
glamarous evening wear
to the most challenging
theatrical prop costume, if
you have any queries
please feel free to email
me.
I try to be flexible with my prices especially if you are working to a specific budget, but please be aware that everything is hand made and many hours go into producing and finishing each individual piece and this is reflected in the price.
I've been sewing since I can remember and was always passionate about fabrics and textiles. This led me to the Arts Institute at Bournemouth where I studied BA(Hons) Costume design and interpratation for the screen and stage for three years.
On garduating in 2001 I won the prestigeous BBC Vision design bursary and became one of their wardrobe trainees which led me to London and the television industry. However, my love of costume has always gone hand in hand with the theatre and since then I've worked with a variety of companies within the UK in various capacities from wardrobe to costume maker.
In 2005 I became a freelance costume maker and have been working from my studio in South Wales since.
Theatrical credits (wardrobe or costume) include:-
Butlins, Wno, Aberystwyth arts centre, Newbury Corn exchange, THGC, Riverside Newport, Diversions dance, Arad Goch.
